This primary bathroom was part of the new addition to the homeowners’ small midcentury home in Ann Arbor. Like the kitchen, the space reflects their “midcentury modest” vision with warm wood tones, clean lines, and understated vintage-inspired details. The asymmetrical vanity combines closed storage with open shelving for towels and everyday essentials. A coordinating linen cabinet provides additional storage, while the open space above creates a natural spot for plants. Decorative feet give the cabinetry a furniture-like quality and a subtle nod to midcentury design. A skylight fills the room with natural light, highlighting the wood cabinetry and softly patterned floor tile. Simple white finishes, streamlined fixtures, and globe sconces keep the bathroom bright and relaxed. The finished space feels connected to the home’s original character while offering the storage and function needed for modern family life.
